LOL…. we all like to ride to eat!

A catchy motto, wouldn’t you say?
I caught on pretty quickly in my riding experience that if you are looking for good food – ask a fellow rider. We are the people who try and find those scenic out-of-the-way roads which, conveniently have kitchy, artisan out-of-the-way places to eat. The best bread pudding. Steak that is mouthwatering and perfectly done. Chocolate cake that is sinful.
I writer has to fill the gas tank, as well as fill their own tank. It makes sense.
On one of my forays out, I came across a little place called Little Quallicum cheese works. Which makes me wonder where big Qualicum is,-but I digress.

Little Qualicum cheese works is an artisan cheese factory on Vancouver Island. Based in Little Qualicum,it also has a morning star farms. And Mooberry winery. Because really, what goes better with cheese than wine?

I liked this and thought that you might as well.

Have loved motorcycles all my life.
I started riding motorcycles, according to my mom, at about age 5. Most of my best childhood memories have a motorcycle in them somewhere. When it came time to purchase my High School class ring I, like everyone else, flipped through books looking at options. The moment I spotted the motorcycle was the moment I knew what I was going to have.
Now to insure that mom and dad were on board, and also because I did not see any sense in it, I eschewed the standard gold for a non-precious metal. I also went for a more “common place” stone. Mom and dad approved and now, cough cough, a few years later you get to see my class ring too.
It is not often that I post about a topic that has nothing to do with motorcycling but this is important.
In my day job, I have been working in the Information Technology for many years. I do my best to keep up with the trends, changing technology and the laws that affect that technology.
It is my opinion that the Internet (and thus all the industry around it) as you know it is about to be smashed by the FCC and their “Net Neutrality” rules.
I came to this conclusion myself a few months ago as I read the pros and cons of what was happening with the regulations proposed by the FCC. These new rules (not passed by congress) are going to change the way you use the internet and thus your technology (TVs/tablets/phones/everything). They, the new rules, are also going to raise the price you pay for your internet and technology.
I have struggled on how to pass this information on as it is a very complicated issue. A few days ago I ran across this article which explains the issue in a manner that I think all can understand (and better then my first attempt 🙂 ).
Bottom Line – Net Neutrality is going to be BAD FOR THE AVERAGE AMERICAN. Government is trying to “fix” a problem that does not really exist and take more of your money in the process. Look at the taxes and fees on your cell phone bill and add that on your internet bill and on every device you purchase in the future (that would include TVs and anything else that connects to the internet).
While it is HIGHLY unlikely that our politicians will listen to us I suggest that, after you look into it for yourself, you let them know this is just wrong.
About time Honda got back in
Very sad turn of events.

Someone is using my blog page as some kind of letter scheme. It started slow and then spiraled out of control with 40 or more posts about not receiving their letters. I am more than pissed…in fact, whoever pirated my page better hope I never find out who they are.
Since changing my password did not stop the illegal activities, I will now have to cancel and abandon my WordPress site for ever. I cannot tell you how hard it was to put this page together and maintain it. I have written over 800 blogs which I am sure have all been plagiarized.
I know this happens to many authors and plagiarism is rampant in our industry. It’s a damn shame really; I have less than any respect for the thieves who do this sort of thing. All I can do is hope that the Karma Angel is getting ready…

I just watched the trailer for a new motorcycle related documentary/movie. “Sit Stay Ride: The Story of America’s Sidecar Dogs” looks like it could be awesome. The film is a full-length documentary produced and directed by husband-wife team Eric and Geneva Ristau.
I am going to order a copy after the Christmas holiday is compete.
The film captures “15 dogs, 18 people and 3 wheels” and 25% of proceeds will go to animal rescue organizations. Motorcycles, dogs and a good charity, what more could you ask?
